Sorry, I been a bad blogger

Sorry!!!
Got myself a bit addicted to Vox.
You should really join up, I write all my new juicy gossip on there mostly because of the privacy levels.

Anyway, here's a few photos as a little catch up.

C'mon join up to Vox, even if it's just to read about my soap opera life ;)

Just Giving

The JustGiving Sonny Sunshine appeal hit its target plus a little extra back in Sept. Having chat to Jodi about it we decided to up it a little bit!I've seen a few friends have the site posted on their FaceBook accounts, thankyou. I have added a little widget to my vox also.

Please, if you don't know Sonny and don't know anything about Cornelia de Lange syndrome take the time to look it up. Read my old blog LovePinkChampagne to find out about my gorgeous little boy and what this genetic disorder will hold for him and his loved ones.

I had never heard of this syndrome until my son was given an indefinite diagnosis at 2 days old. The past 15 months have brought immense highs and lows but throughout, Sonny has remained a constant joy to everyone that knows and loves him.

To those who have already donated thankyou so so much for helping us reach the original target.

A little reminder of who we are talking about.......

What Classic Movie Are You?

Portage

Along with physio Sonny receives a service called Portage. This is where a lovely lady comes mostly once a week to help stimulate him with different toys to aid his progress. These photos are from last week.
It's quite amusing, Sonny loves Derryl, this lady but Jan the physio, he cries if he looks at her. he knows who she is and knows she is going tog ive him a workout! Derryl is more fun and doesn't push him as hard. Sylvie loves to join in too.

Well, I'm not seeing much of the big kids this holiday. They seem to have their own social lives. Ruby came down the stairs in tights, shorts, handbag and put her long boots on to go and play outside the other day. She didn't look co-oridinated at all. My god, there were some very young girls in Spar yesterday in what I would call 'fuck me' boots that I couldn't even walk in!! They must have been around Ruby's age. It was a bit gross actually. Ruby has an incline about fashion, as seen from her attempt with the shorts/tights/long boots combo but her tights were woolly schoolones, her shorts from the summer and her boots are Clarks. Battered old, LOW heeled suede not mock-croc stilletto! I watched her leave the house and felt myself age about 20 years. My mum must have watched me in the same way with my 70s wedges, stripey tights and velvet blazers. But saying all this, I was about 14. Ruby isn't 8 yet. What the hell have I got in store with 2 girls??? Especially MY daughters. Shit.

I actually used the words 'You are NOT going out dressed like that!' today. She was in vest, summer hot pants and flip flops. She humphed a bit but I gave her my 'evil Mum eyes' as her friend Mia was here and I was loath to use the 'STOP SHOWING OFF' line. I have used it before now but I remember my mother using using it and how humilating it felt.
When I am very firm and give her the 'look' she knows not to mess with Mumma. We have a sticker chart for how good she is every day. LOL. HER idea!! She's actually been marvelous for the whole half term so way to go Roo.

She stayed at her mate's last night so I let Tom sleep in with me. He is so bony!!! We had the best chat that ended in him proclaiming that 'he would NEVER understand women!!'' Little git, haha.

Sonny has been the happiest little chappy for days. Long may it continue.
Sospot is a little bugger. Even when she's naughty she cracks me up though which ends in her getting the giggles. Such a funny little girl. Sly but in the sweetest possible way :0)

Half Term-my way!

Gaaah, half term. That I was NOT prepared for! This is one of Tom's fav games. Tape him up and stand him on a chair or footstool then make him laugh (not hard!)
Tom did a runner pretty early today and Sylvie is in nursery so just had Ruby and the boy.
Ruby and I had a really nice day. We carved her pumpkin, she cleaned my windows and dusted (her choice!) , she painted and I sent her out on a photo mission with my camera. She's done a runner now too to Auntie Jan's for tea with Tom.
Need to osrt them some costumes for halloween, I hope last year's still fit! Don't know whether to bother with Sonny or not. Last year he was Caspar, very funny but as usual I have left it unntil the last mintute as regards to making him anything. Any super easy, quick ideas for a baby?
